Liquid will be sponsoring and exhibiting at today’s ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) Cloud Computing for Accountants event, held at Chartered Accountants Hall in London.

Matt Holmes, who is Liquid MD and Chair of the BASDA (Business Application Software Developers Association) Special Interests Group for Cloud Computing, will use his industry expert knowledge to speak at the event alongside representatives from the likes of computing giants Microsoft.

Matt’s topic of discussion will be the issues surrounding cloud computing and the benefits for accountants of being able to manage clients’ accounts online. Matt will be presenting ‘in the cloud’ via Google Docs, and his presentation can be viewed below on SlideShare.

The event will define what is meant by cloud computing, what are the benefits that can be enjoyed and what the issues are that accountants need to be aware of. Attendees can hear legal advice from a qualified lawyer, experiences from colleagues that are using cloud solutions and what actions should be taken to ensure cloud success.
