September is a very busy month for the Liquid team, with a range of accounting and technology events to attend throughout the UK.
On Wednesday 8th September, Liquid exhibited at the Fresh Business Thinking LIVE! event in London where Matt spoke alongside the likes of Yasmina Siadatan (winner of The Apprentice Series 5), Nick Jenkins (founder of moonpig.com) and successful female entrepreneur Caprice Bourret. Matt, who is Chair of the BASDA Special Interests Group for Cloud Computing, spoke about the issues surrounding Cloud Computing and online accounting for business in his presentation entitled ‘Cloud Accounting Today’.
Fresh Business Thinking LIVE! brings together a host of experts under one roof for one day to cover all the essentials that enable business people to grow or improve their business.
On Friday 24th September, Liquid will be sponsoring the ICAEW Cloud Computing for Accountants event at Chartered Accountants Hall in London. Matt will use his industry expert knowledge to speak at the event, which will be attended by over 100 ICAEW members and chartered accountants.
This seminar will define the meanings of cloud computing, what benefits can be enjoyed and what the issues are that accountants need to be aware of. We will hear legal advice from a qualified lawyer, experiences from colleagues that are using cloud solutions and what actions attendees should be taking to ensure cloud success.
Also, on Thursday 30th September, Liquid will be attending and exhibiting at the Techmesh IT and Telecoms EXPO 2010 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
The Techmesh IT and Telecoms EXPO is a one-day exhibition and conference for all businesses in the region to meet Yorkshire and the Humber’s IT & Telecoms providers. The event includes a morning conference that will be delivered by a team of keynote speakers from some of the world’s best-known IT & Telecoms businesses. There are also a number of breakout sessions on challenges that a growing IT & Telecoms business faces, and where the sector is moving towards in the future.
Heading into October, there is no let up in the busy events schedule as Liquid will be on the road with world-renowned Australian entrepreneur, author and business coach Brad Sugars. Liquid will be exhibiting in Leeds, Manchester, London, Glasgow and Worceseter over a 10-day period, so if you would like to meet the team, pop along to one of the events entitled ‘Business is Booming’.
