Matt Holmes, Liquid MD and Chair of the Cloud Computing Special Interest Group for BASDA will be in York this week speaking at a CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) Branch Meeting.
The event at the Holiday Inn on Tadcaster Road, near York Racecourse, will be taking an in-depth look at cloud: what it is, why it is here and an exploration of accounting in the cloud and the benefits that it could bring to your business. The event is to be held on the 12th April, starting at 6pm.
Matt is known for being able to explain cloud technology in a non-technical way and for giving practical hints and tips and how small businesses can take advantage of cloud technology now in order to gain a competitive edge in business.
CIMA is a UK-based professional body offering training and qualification in management accountancy and related subjects, focused on accounting for business; together with ongoing support for members.
CIMA is one of a number of professional associations for accountants in the UK. Its particular emphasis is on developing the management accounting profession within the UK and worldwide. CIMA is the largest management accounting body in the world, with 183,000 members and students in 168 countries.
