Liquid’s MD, Matt Holmes, was last week asked to step in as a last minute guest speaker at the CompTIA ‘EU IT Services and Support Executive Forum’ event at the Unisys Conference Centre in Saint Paul de Vence, France.

He had been booked as part of an expert panel to discuss Cloud Computing and the future of IT for business, but at the last minute, Matt also gave a talk on Cloud Computing, alongside Unisys, to fill in for a speaker from Microsoft who couldn’t make the event.

Matt said:

This was an excellent opportunity for us to meet potential strategic partners within the big IT companies, PC manufacturers and IT support companies.

It was good to know that even the big European and worldwide corporations are considering cloud as the way forward for their businesses.

As a result of this conference, I have now been invited to speak to the boards of some major European companies and advise them on cloud.

As Chairman of the BASDA Special Interests Group on Cloud Computing, Matt was there to discuss Cloud Computing and spread the word about Liquid’s scalable cloud accounting software, amongst a selection of IT service industry experts from across Europe, as part of its drive to create new strategic partnerships.

Other high-profile executives from the likes of Intel, Microsoft and Acer were also in attendance of the event, to discuss the different issues surrounding Managed Services and Cloud Computing.
