Market-leading online accounting software firm, Liquid Accounts, will be exhibiting at Venturefest in York next week as the guest of event sponsor, and leading Yorkshire accountants, Garbutt and Elliott.  Come along and meet the team, see their award-winning cloud accounting software in action, grab some free candy floss and be in with a chance of winning prizes (including a year’s free subscription for Liquid Accounts!)

Liquid Accounts’ Marketing Director, Lisa Kendrick said: ‘As a start-up we benefited from the support and exposure available at Venturefest and now we are in a position to be able to give something back and support both the event and other local technology start-ups.

‘A number of our clients are in renewable energy, technology, software, web design and development and benefit from being able to build their own Liquid package and add in extras like stock control, multi-currency, and project management as and when they need.’

The annual 1-day event at York Racecourse on 16th February is free for delegates and brings together the region’s finest science, technology and knowledge entrepreneurs, the professional services who support them and world-class business speakers.

One such client and Venturefest veteran is Slipstream Energy, who design and create elegant wind turbine solutions.  Dave Barry from Slipstream says, ‘Liquid allows me to access the latest company figures from any location, I can’t imagine working without online accounting as it gives me so much flexibility.  Being online means is it more environmentally friendly, no need to print excessive amounts of paper. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) is definitely the way forward.’

Liquid Accounts will be on stand 4 with Garbutt and Elliott.  Managing Director, Russell Turner, commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome Liquid Accounts to our stand.  They have created a jargon free, user-friendly business accounting software which is designed to save time, resources and money.

‘We regard them not just as a client, but also a partner. They have been creating on-line software since 2001, long before the idea of ‘cloud accounting’ or online book-keeping software even existed,’ he explained.

‘We believe that their software could be extremely useful for start-up and recently-established companies, who need swift and accessible accounting information,’ he added. ‘But the beauty of the software is that it caters for businesses of all shapes and sizes.’
